SEO and AI search

Show up on Google, and inside the AI answer.

People find you two ways now. They search Google and pick someone off the results. Or they ask ChatGPT, and it hands them a short list of names. Ignore either one and you lose the calls it would have sent. We handle both, because it is the same website and the same business info feeding each of them.

What's included

Both ways people search

Google brings in the customers you close this month. AI answers decide who gets recommended next year. Same website, two sets of rules. We run both, so you are not paying two companies to argue about who moved the number.

Real pages, one at a time

Every service page and city page gets written on its own. Google filters sites that spin one page fifty ways, and that filter drags down the pages that were already working for you.

Straight talk on what we can change

How close your address is to the person searching is fixed. We cannot move it and neither can anybody else. Everything else is work, and that is where your money goes. We will tell you plainly which searches your location already decided.

Written so AI can quote you

AI pulls one paragraph, not a page. Every article, FAQ, and service page gets written so any single piece of it holds up on its own, with your name in it.

The split

Two halves of one search plan.

Most agencies sell you the left column and call it SEO. The right column is where businesses are getting picked now, and almost nobody is doing it yet.

Both columns are earned, not bought. Paid ads sit above them and run on a separate budget, covered on the paid advertising page.

Half one

Google search

The map and the blue links under it still bring in the customers you close this month.

  • Service pages

One page for each thing you sell, written on its own. Copy the same page across forty services and Google treats the whole site as junk, including the pages that were working.

  • City pages

A real page for every city you work in, with enough local detail to prove a person wrote it instead of running find and replace.

  • Google Business Profile

The listing that puts you on the map. Categories, services, hours, photos, and posts. Most businesses fill out half of it and never open it again.

  • Getting reviews

Google looks at how many you have and how recent they are. We build the system around it: who asks, when they ask, what they send, and what happens when nobody replies. Asking becomes part of finishing the job instead of a favor somebody remembers.

Half twoThe gap

AI search

Ask ChatGPT, Google, or Perplexity who to hire and you get a short list back. This is the work that puts you on it.

  • Code that tells AI what you do

Markup sitting behind your pages that spells out what you sell, where you sell it, and what people think of you. Without it, AI is guessing from paragraphs.

  • The same info everywhere

Same business name, address, phone, and services on every site you are listed on. AI checks sources against each other, and a business that looks like three slightly different companies gets dropped.

  • Letting AI in

A file at your domain that points AI at the pages you want read, plus a setting that lets it in instead of blocking it by accident.

  • Answers that stand alone

AI lifts one paragraph, not a whole page. We write every answer so it still makes sense on its own, with your business named in it.

  • Tracking who gets named

Every month we ask the AI tools the same questions your customers ask, and show you who came back. Rankings are not the only scoreboard anymore.

These are not two separate jobs. The code that tells AI what you sell also tells Google what the page is. A city page good enough to rank is the same page AI quotes. Your business info feeds both. Nothing gets built twice, which is why it is one bill instead of two companies pointing at each other.

The article engine

Answer what people actually type.

Nobody types a keyword. They type a whole question with a problem in it. Every article we write answers one of those in the first two lines, then earns the rest of the page.

That first paragraph has to work on its own. It is the part AI quotes and the part a reader decides on.

Recent pieces live on the blog.

The question, not the keyword
  • How much does [service] cost in [city]?
  • Best [service] near me, and how do I pick one?
  • How long does [service] take from start to finish?
  • Should I pay someone for [service] or do it myself?
  • What should I ask before hiring a [service] company?
  • Why is my [problem] happening and who fixes it?

Service and city get swapped for what you actually sell and where. If you would not take the job, we do not write the article.

Want the list built for your business? Answer a few questions and we will send back the searches you should own.

How it works
01

See where you stand

What you rank for today, and separately what AI says right now when someone asks who to hire in your area. Most owners have never seen the second one.

02

Fix the basics

Site speed, the code that tells Google and AI what you sell, your business info matching everywhere, and a file that lets AI read your site.

03

Publish every month

Service pages, city pages, and articles that answer what people actually type, not keywords pulled off a list.

04

Show you the numbers

Where you rank, the calls and forms search sent you, and which AI tools named your business this month.

Pricing

What it costs.

Two plans, no setup fee, no annual contract. Everything listed below is work we actually do, not a feature list. If a line does not apply to your business, we swap it for one that does instead of billing you for it.

Local

$2,500per month

Own your city and the map above the search results.

Best for: Businesses that get paid by people nearby. One location or a few.

Your Google listing

  • Categories set right, which moves the map more than anything else on the listing
  • Every service you sell added as its own item, with a description
  • Service areas, hours, holiday hours, photos, and products kept current
  • Two posts a month, so the listing looks active instead of parked
  • A reply on every review, good and bad, same business day

Getting found locally

  • Your name, address, and phone fixed across the directories Google reads
  • Old and duplicate listings tracked down, then merged or removed
  • City pages for the places you actually work, with real local detail
  • A monthly check on which competitors moved up or down, and why

Reviews

  • A system built into how you finish a job, not a one-time push
  • Templates for the ask, the reminder, and the follow-up when nobody replies
  • A steady pace on purpose, because a sudden pile of reviews looks bought

On your site

  • Two new pages a month, each written for a search people actually run
  • Titles, headings, links, and image tags fixed on the pages you already have
  • Code added so Google and AI can read what you sell and where

What you get back

  • A monthly report: where you sit on the map, keyword positions, and the calls and forms search brought in
  • A short written read on what moved and why, not a dashboard with no explanation
Most businesses

Authority

$4,500per month

Rank for everything you sell, everywhere you sell it, and get named in AI answers.

Best for: Businesses with a lot of services, a lot of cities, or customers all over the country.

Everything in Local

  • The full listing, review, and local ranking program above, running underneath this

Content

  • Four articles a month, each answering a question people ask before they buy
  • The first paragraph written to answer it outright, because that is the part AI quotes
  • Service and city pages built on a schedule, a real page for each one
  • Pages already close to page one get rewritten before we build new ones

Under the hood

  • Load speed, layout jumping, and tap delay measured and fixed
  • Making sure the pages you paid for are actually in Google's index
  • Site structure and internal links, so the pages that sell get the credit
  • Mobile checked on real phones, not a shrunk browser window

AI search

  • Code across the site so AI knows what you sell, where, and who you are
  • The same business name, address, phone, and services everywhere you are listed
  • A file that points AI crawlers at your best pages, and settings that let them in
  • Every answer written to stand on its own, because AI quotes paragraphs, not pages

What you get back

  • Everything in the Local report, plus traffic and conversions page by page
  • Your customers' questions run through ChatGPT, Google, and Perplexity every month, with who got named
  • A call every quarter to reset the target list based on what is actually closing
Start here if you are not sure

The search and AI audit

One pass over both sides: where you rank right now, what is broken under the hood, and what AI says today when someone asks who to hire in your category. It is $2,500, and it comes off your first month if you sign on.

What is not in the price

Ad spend and new site builds

Both plans are about earning your spot. Paid ads sit above these results and run on their own budget, covered on the paid advertising page. A full site rebuild gets quoted on its own through web design, though fixes to individual pages are included above.

FAQ

Good to know.

How much does SEO cost?

High Arc Media prices SEO as a monthly retainer. Local is $2,500 a month and covers Google Business Profile management, local ranking work, a review system, fixes and code on the pages you already have, and two new pages a month. Authority is $4,500 a month and adds four articles a month, technical work on speed and crawling, service and city page programs, the AI search setup, and monthly tracking of which AI tools name you. A one-time audit is $2,500 and comes off your first month if you sign on. No setup fee and no annual contract.

How do businesses rank in the Google map pack?

Three things drive it: how close you are to the person searching, how complete your Google Business Profile is, and how many recent reviews you have. Your address is fixed, so that part is already settled. The other two are work. Get the categories right, list every service, add real photos and hours, and reply to every review, good or bad, because a wall of ignored ones looks like nobody is home. Recency is the part most businesses miss. An old review counts for less than a new one, so a company sitting on reviews from three years ago slides while a competitor still collecting them climbs past. A sudden pile also looks bought and gets treated that way. Steady wins, which is why the ask belongs in how you finish a job rather than in a push somebody runs once.

How do you get a business named by ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?

Four things. Code on your site so a machine can read what you sell and where. The same business name, address, phone, and services everywhere you are listed, because AI cross-checks its sources. A file and a setting that let AI crawlers reach the pages that matter. And answers written to stand on their own, because AI quotes a paragraph rather than a page. High Arc Media builds all four into the same retainer that handles Google.

Does SEO still matter if AI is answering the questions?

More than before. AI builds its answers out of pages it can crawl and read. A site that is not crawled, tagged, and quotable cannot get named in one. SEO now feeds two things instead of one: the results a person clicks, and the answer a machine writes for them. The people who do call are also further along, because they already saw your name in an answer.

How long does SEO take to work?

Local moves first. Fixing your listing and categories can change the map in a few weeks, and reviews start compounding the month the system goes live. New service and city pages take months, because they have to be published, crawled, and earn the spot. AI mentions land in between and depend on how often the tools refresh their sources. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is selling you something.

What is an llms.txt file and does my business need one?

It is a plain text file at your domain that points AI crawlers at the pages you most want read: services, pricing, about, FAQs, and results. It is a suggestion rather than a rule, so no AI tool has to follow it, and it takes about an hour to add. For a business trying to get named in AI answers, that is a cheap bet worth taking next to the code and listing work that does the real lifting.

Do I need SEO if I am already running ads?

Ads stop the day you stop paying. SEO keeps working on pages you already own. The two also help each other: pages built for search make better ad landing pages, and the search terms that convert in your ads tell us what to build next. Ads run on their own budget and are covered on the paid advertising page.

What if I sell nationwide instead of locally?

Then the map matters less and content and technical work matter more. Authority is the fit there: service pages, articles aimed at what buyers ask before they buy, technical cleanup, and the AI work that gets you named no matter where the person is sitting.
